We are in a golden moment…..

with 9-11, the Iraq war, the threat of climate change and the melting ice caps on one hand; and the amazing connectivity of the internet, and the win of Barack Obama (not as a political savior, but as an underdog who overcame, while the entire world watched) on the other hand, to name just a few – The world is riled up. The people are passionate and willing to take risks, to go the extra mile – together. With a common vision, for a common good…..This time is like none before it.

And there is a rising tide of women stepping up to the plate, redesigning the world as we know it, based on principles of caring and compassion. Though there are great men in every arena, making change, it is by vast majority women who are helping the 4 billion desperately poor to get solid footing. It is female CEO’s who are leading corporations to sustainability. It is primarily women leading the push for departments of peace that will bring caring and compassion to both foreign policy and internal conflicts on the street. Women entrepreneurs are rivaling men in their numbers and the majority of them are launching companies that include sustainability as a fundamental tenet. Globally, we have a clear shared desire for a safe, clean and healthy planet, and women are showing us how to get there.

Our mission is to champion these women, to help those with projects to expand their reach by bringing their work to the forefront where we can help them find resources, and community. And we hope to inspire those who are on the sidelines to get inspired and get involved. as we grow, we’ll continue to provide new ways for you to connect, to talk with each other, to offer support and to join in community. This is the most fulfilling work on earth – and now is the time we’ve been waiting for, working toward, all these years!

Humanity Unites Brilliance

HUB is the first of the new economic models I believe we will see more and more of as things unfold. I am especially enamored with HUB because their eAcademy is empowering people to participate in bringing a new paradigm to life, offering tools, inspiration and strong leadership. Because 40% of all gross income goes to giving children in crisis another chance – real kids who are literally dying without us, this very minute. Everyone who participates in HUB, in any way, is making an impact in one or more children’s lives. That’s beautiful. How many other companies do you know that were designed specifically to generate reliable funding for people in crisis? And because it is a fantastic opportunity for small groups of women to generate incomes for each other and themselves, to support their passionate works, which our world so desperately needs. I am helping to generate funding for all different kinds of non-profits and women with projects through HUB, and I am excited to help as many others as possible get involved.

We are girls after all, and we do love to shop. I personally am not a believer in a future that looks like rubble after the bomb squad has come through. With so many great solutions on the table and many more coming off the press, I am witness to a future that rivals the one we have known, one that is life affirming yet rich, fun and filled with great goodies.

Trade is the equalizer among people, it keeps “enemies” in peaceful relationship, it generates support for dozens of levels of employers from raw materials to final shipper and retailer. There are energy and transportation solutions at hand, as well as all kinds of manufacturing and materials options coming to the forefront. I feel that though building local communities is vitally important, exchange between nations prevents poverty, war and oppression. I fully support a thriving capitalist economy…..
